What’s really trending for Black Friday 2025

November 20, 2025
November 28, 2025, is Black Friday, and December 1 is Cyber Monday. However, knowing when to shop is only the first step. Many retailers have already started their sales with less than three weeks to go before the main event, and knowing which products are getting the most search interest aids in your strategic planning. In order to determine what hundreds of millions of consumers are truly searching for this year, this guide examines global search trends using Ahrefs keyword data, Google Trends, and Google Shopping insights. The trends show not only which brands are well-liked but also which particular items from those brands are receiving the most attention.

Key dates for your calendar

Black Friday: Friday, November 28, 2025
Cyber Monday: Monday, December 1, 2025

Most "Black Friday" sales actually run the entire weekend. Major retailers like Amazon start as early as November 20, meaning the traditional single-day shopping event now lasts nearly two weeks.

Most searched brands for Black Friday 2025 and what to watch right now

The volume of global searches for Black Friday deals specific to a brand appears in these rankings. The Search Volume (SV) shows how many people are already hunting for discounts from these brands and particular items from these brands. By analyzing these numbers, you can predict which sales are worth focusing on and which products are likely to sell out the fastest.

Amazon (228K searches)

With items in the categories of electronics, home goods, kitchen appliances, fashion, and groceries, Amazon operates as the "everything store." Hourly deal drops with discounts of up to 50% on Amazon Devices, Shark, Dyson, and other major brands are part of their main 2025 event, which takes place from November 20 to December 1.

What's driving searches:

  • Amazon Alexa (132,000 searches): This year's most-searched item. The Echo device family consistently hits lowest-ever prices during Amazon's Black Friday event, making this the perfect time to purchase if you've been waiting.
  • PS5 (25,000 searches): After years of shortages, Sony is continuing to restock, and new console bundles are attracting a lot of attention.
  • Nintendo Switch (7,300 searches): Console+game bundles typically offer the best value during this window.

Amazon has been successful in making its own ecosystem products synonymous with Black Friday sales, as evidenced by the volume of Alexa searches. Customers are aware that this marks the annual price floor for Echo devices.

Hulu (104K searches)

Hulu offers streaming subscriptions for TV series, films, and original content on a monthly and yearly basis. Although their official Black Friday deal hasn't started as of November 11, historical trends strongly imply that their $0.99/month for 12 months offer will be available to both new and qualified returning subscribers.

What subscribers are expecting:

Expect signups based on interest in particular shows rather than general streaming once the offer goes live. "Under the Bridge" (35,000 searches), "The Bear" (42,000 searches), and "Paradise" (429,000 searches) are the most searched Hulu originals, demonstrating what's generating subscriptions.

According to this search pattern, streaming services now compete based on content rather than library size. Individuals do not subscribe to catalogs, but to specific shows.

Lululemon (92K searches)

Lululemon specializes in high-end sportswear, including running clothes, yoga mats, leggings, and casual accessories like belt bags. Lululemon does not provide site-wide promo codes, in contrast to the majority of retailers. The point of their Black Friday strategy is the "We Made Too Much" sale section, which is currently fully stocked with verified discounts like the Align High-Rise Pants for $69 (down from $98) and the Scuba Oversized Hoodie for $99 (down from $128).

What shoppers are looking for?

  • Lululemon belt bag (187,000 searches): Because of its adaptability and simple style, this crossbody accessory went viral. It sells out in a matter of hours and restocks during significant sales, which creates urgency and increases search volume.
  • Lululemon backpack (113,000 searches): A consistent top gift.
  • Lululemon leggings (110,000 searches): Specifically the "Align" and "Wunder Train" models.

Lululemon's search patterns reveal brand loyalty rather than casual shopping. People search for specific product names, not generic "athletic leggings," indicating they're waiting for deals on items they already know they want.

Zara (76K searches)

In addition to clothing for all demographics, Zara's fast-fashion business model also offers accessories, shoes, and fragrances. Their primary site-wide sale usually takes place around Saturday, November 22, especially in online channels, and their "Special Prices" collection debuted early with 40% off select items.

What shoppers are looking for?

  • Zara perfume (101,000 searches): These fragrances are going viral on TikTok and Instagram as high-quality "dupes" for luxury scents.
  • Zara dresses (21,000 searches): As consumers get ready for the holidays and New Year's Eve, sales of fall and winter formal dresses peak in November.
  • Zara jeans (19,000 searches): Reflecting current denim trends, wide-leg and flared styles are leading this category.

The perfume search volume demonstrates how social proof now drives search behavior. When influencers compare a €20 Zara fragrance to a €200 designer perfume, search volume follows within days.

Home Depot (51K searches)

Large appliances, gardening supplies, tools, and building materials are among Home Depot's specialties. They started their sale early, offering some appliances up to 40% off. Their "buy more, save more" bundle, which offers instant savings of up to $1,000 on kitchen appliance packages when multiple items are purchased together, is their most notable offer.

What home improvement shoppers prioritize:

  • Washer and dryer (8,500 searches):At Home Depot, major appliances make up the largest Black Friday category. People who have broken appliances wait until November to replace them, so these purchases are frequently motivated by necessity rather than choice.
  • Kitchen cabinets (8,200 searches)
  • Plywood (7,700 searches): This useful search demonstrates that do-it-yourself projects are still popular in spite of inflation worries. Although they are more pragmatic, people are still building and remodeling.

From Home Depot most searched items we can see that appliances are expensive necessities with clear failure points, making Black Friday the logical replacement window for anyone whose washer or dryer is showing age.

Ikea (43K searches)

IKEA offers kitchenware, home décor, and furniture that is ready to assemble. They usually offer discounts on their best-selling furniture lines during the week of Black Friday instead of early November. Although specific promotional information has not yet been released as of November 11, past trends indicate that some items may be discounted by 20–30%.

What home shoppers want:

  • IKEA dresser (102,000 searches)
  • IKEA couch (65,000 searches)
  • IKEA Billy bookcase (61,000 searches)

IKEA search behavior shows people looking for specific model names, indicating they've already visited stores or browsed online to identify what they want. Black Friday becomes the trigger to finally purchase after months of consideration.

Nike (41K searches)

Nike produces athletic footwear, sportswear, and equipment. An "up to 50% off" sale is currently active, but the main event involves a member-exclusive promo code (typically 25% off) expected to drop on Black Friday. Membership is free, making this a no-barrier way to access deeper discounts.

What's trending in athletic wear:

  • Nike Air Force 1 (1.4 million searches): Because of its simple style and adaptability, this model has remained popular for more than 40 years. Its huge search volume can be explained by the fact that it looks great with both streetwear and athletic wear.
  • Nike Tech Fleece (1.1 million searches): For a generation, this tracksuit was the standard casual outfit. Searches increase every fall because of the fabric technology, which provides lightweight warmth without adding bulk.
  • Nike Dunk Low (720,000 searches):This search volume is driven by exclusive colors and limited releases. Customers are actively looking for particular colors that might never be restocked, in addition to just buying shoes.

Nike's search trends show how culture and function interact. While Tech Fleece searches show real product performance advantages, Air Force 1 and Dunk Low searches are based on cultural relevance and resale potential.

Apple (41K searches)

Apple manufactures consumer electronics including iPhones, Macs, iPads, Apple Watches, and AirPods. Here's the distinction: Apple itself doesn't discount products during Black Friday. Starting November 28, their official promotion offers bonus Apple Gift Cards with full-price purchases. The actual price discounts appear at third-party retailers like Amazon and MediaMarkt.

What Apple shoppers are hunting:

  • Apple Watch (21,000 searches)
  • iPhone (15,000 searches)
  • AirPods Pro (9,000 searches)

Apple's search behavior demonstrates brand loyalty overriding price sensitivity. People search "Apple" Black Friday deals even though Apple doesn't participate in traditional discounting, showing how brand power shapes expectations.

Sephora (40K searches)

Sephora operates as a global beauty retailer carrying makeup, skincare, fragrance, and hair care from hundreds of brands. Black Friday officially lands on November 28, but some regional stores like Sephora UK have already activated deals with up to 20% off across categories.

What shoppers are looking for?

  • Rhode (33K): Hailey Bieber’s viral beauty brand is generating a lot of searches. Now available at Sephora, European fans can finally try popular products like Glazing Milk and Pocket Blush.
  • Sol de janeiro (9.9K) : The viral sol de janeiro 62 "Cheirosa" mists are the #1 search.
  • Rare Beauty (8.4K): Selena Gomez’s cult-favorite brand is still on top of search. Fans are searching for bestsellers like the soft pinch blush and liquid touch foundation.

Instead of focusing on brands, beauty searches focus on particular products. Instead of searching for "Sephora deals," consumers are looking for specific products that they have seen in reviews or tutorials, then comparing prices on Black Friday.

MediaMarkt (30K searches)

What European electronics shoppers want:

  • PS5 (22,000 searches)
  • iPhone 15 (7,800 searches): Shoppers with phones older than two generations see Black Friday as the strategic upgrade window.
  • iPad (5,900 searches): Various models appeal to different use cases: students want base models for note-taking, professionals want Air or Pro models for creative work.

MediaMarkt is a major destination for electronics that might otherwise need to be ordered from US-based retailers with complicated international shipping because of its regional strength in Europe.

How brands dominate Black Friday search

It is no coincidence that the leading Black Friday brands show up on search trend lists. Long before November even comesmonths of strategic SEO, content, and website optimization have given them visibility.

Respond to actual questions

These companies produce content that addresses the issues of their clients. Lululemon was discovered by someone looking for the "best winter leggings." Zara can be found by searching for "Zara perfume dupe." Months before Black Friday, this strategy establishes authority and trust.

High-Intent keywords are important

Phrases like "Black Friday deals" are not enough. Brands rank for particular terms that your target audience actually searches for, such as: "The best yoga leggings with pockets" "Keurig versus Nespresso". These high-intent keywords are found by companies like Seeders, which also make sure your website is optimized for ranking and conversion.

Increase authority with content placement

Not all SEO is on-page. Authority comes from backlinks, expert roundups, and mentions on trustworthy blogs, manuals, and industry magazines. By the time Black Friday arrives, your brand is not only noticeable, it is recommended.

Begin early, win later

In early 2025, or even late 2024, the brands that will dominate 2025 search began to plan. Increasing visibility all year long builds authority, so Black Friday is the result of regular SEO efforts rather than impulsive spending on advertising.

The Black Friday SEO timeline: when to start your strategy

Most of the brands dominating Black Friday search results began their preparation 10-12 months in advance.

Key insight: Brands starting keyword research in Q1 capture 3x more organic traffic during Black Friday week compared to those starting in October.

How Seeders can help you dominate Black Friday

We specialize in turning Black Friday preparation into measurable revenue growth.

Our process:

Strategic keyword research

It is not enough to just rank for "Black Friday deals." We go deeper to find where your competitors are weak and where your customers are actually spending money.

  • Identifying high-intent vs. high-volume: We distinguish between "window shoppers" and "buyers." While high-volume terms bring traffic, we focus on long-tail, high-intent keywords (e.g., "best noise-cancelling headphones under €200") that historically result in higher conversion rates.

  • Competitor gap analysis: We use advanced tools to analyze your top three competitors. We identify the specific keywords they rank for that you do not, allowing us to create a targeted roadmap to capture that missing market share.

  • Seasonal forecasting: We analyze historical search data to predict which products will spike in interest weeks before they actually do, ensuring you are optimizing for trends before they become competitive.
