These are Formula 1’s most attractive drivers (according to AI)

March 5, 2025
F1 is back in full swing, which is why we researched the most attractive drivers on the grid. Although Max Verstappen has already become world champion five times, this obviously does not mean he is also in the top five most attractive drivers. We had AI determine who is the most attractive and we are curious if you share this opinion!

Most attractive driver

The winner in terms of attractiveness in Formula 1 is Lando Norris. With an impressive 9, he is considered the most handsome driver on the grid. In second place is Lewis Hamilton. Despite being one of the longest-serving F1 drivers, he narrowly missed out on first place with an 8.9.

The last podium spot is for Lance Stroll. He may not reach the F1 podium often, but when it comes to looks, he is firmly in third place. Liam Lawson follows in fourth place, with his charming looks and score of 8.6. The top five is rounded off by Carlos Sainz, who completes the list with an 8.5. Here are the top five with a picture attached, judge for yourself:

Top-20

AI has not only determined spots one to five, but we have also listed the full grid list from most to least attractive. The British do surprisingly well with all four British drivers in the top 10. Even newcomer to Formula 1, Isack Hadjar, scores straight into the points in his first year.  And sorry Fernando Alonso, age is just a number right?

Max Verstappen not number one this year

For the past four years Max has been number one in racing, unfortunately he does not score that high outside his car. He comes in at spot 17. That might be a setback for our Dutch champion. But with Kelly Piquet by his side, he's still pretty lucky. Then again, he has hit the mark well, as a love baby is on the way. Congratulations Max!

Handsomest team

When it comes to attractiveness, Williams and Ferrari score the highest with an average of 8.2. No surprise, as having drivers like Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz in your team obviously puts you in a good position. McLaren follows in third place and can therefore also count itself among the brightest teams. Last season, Lando Norris narrowly missed out on first place, but McLaren did finish first in the constructors' championship.

Red Bull is just outside the top three with a score of 8.0, followed by Kick Sauber and Racing Bulls, both scoring 7.9. Mercedes and Haas are not far behind. At the bottom of the list we find Alpine and Aston Martin, with Aston Martin emerging as the least attractive team with a score of 7.3. Still, it was an exciting battle for the poodle prize, as Alpine was not far off with 7.5. Wondering how the rest of the teams scored? Here is the full ranking:

1. Ferrari - 8.2

2. Williams - 8.2

3. McLaren - 8.1

4. Red Bull - 8.0

5. Kick Sauber - 7.9

6. Racing Bulls - 7.9

7. Mercedes - 7.8

8. Haas - 7.7

9. Alpine - 7.5

10. Aston Martin - 7.3

From young to old

The ages of F1 drivers vary widely. Fernando Alonso (43) and Lewis Hamilton (40) are the veterans of the group, with an age difference of 25 and 22 years with the youngest driver, Andrea Kimi Antonelli (18). Getting old in Formula 1 is not a problem, with Lewis and Fernando proving that they are still plenty competitive. Still, the average age in F1 has fallen in recent years, with more and more young talents breaking through at an early age. Curious about the ages of the other drivers? Then take a look here:
