Netherlands: Bitcoin remains popular
In the Netherlands, Bitcoin is by far the most popular cryptocurrency, with a whopping 281,000 monthly searches. Trust in Bitcoin as ‘digital gold’ remains strong, thanks in part to its long history and status as the first cryptocurrency. Other currencies such as Shiba Inu and Ripple follow at a great distance, with 27,000 searches respectively.

Spain: Bitcoin and Shiba Inu in the spotlight
Spain follows a similar pattern, with Bitcoin being the most popular crypto currency here too, with 454,000 searches. Shiba Inu is also doing well in Spain with 43,000 searches and is in second place. Interestingly, Cardano completes the top three here, with 19,000 searches. Ripple is less popular in Spain than in other countries, with only 8,100 searches per month.

Italy: Bitcoin and notable newcomer
In Italy, Bitcoin is again the big winner with 387,000 searches. What stands out, however, is the popularity of Mina, a relatively new crypto currency that focuses on scalable and efficient blockchain solutions. Mina takes second place, followed by Shiba Inu in third place.

In France, Bitcoin remains the favourite with 348,000 searches, followed by Shiba Inu with 69,000 searches. Helium is especially popular in IoT (Internet of Things) projects, where it is used to create decentralised wireless networks.

In Belgium, we see that Bitcoin is by far the biggest with 77,000 searches. In second place is Selfkey, a crypto currency known for its focus on identity verification and privacy protection. Dogecoin, originally a meme coin, completes the top three, with 8,000 searches per month.
